The amazing man behind the food at Blackwood Pantry is Rob Lechowicz.
Chef Rob’s fascination with food and all it could be saw him leave chef-de- partie and executive sous chef appointments at one and three-hatted icons in Sydney for the Michelin-starred kitchens of Europe. His culinary journey saw him excel as Premier Chef-de-Partie in 2011 at Chateau Cordeillan Bages, Pauillac-France; Sous Chef at L’ Abeille (Shangri-La Paris) in 2012; and as Executive Sous Chef in 2014 at The Greenhouse, London-United Kingdom, all 2-Michelin starred marvels.
Now back where it all started, Chef Rob has created an exquisite three course menu for the evening, focusing on seasonal produce with matching wines for each course.
Guest singer-songwriter Emma Birdsall was part of the first season of The Voice (2012). Emma was mentored by Seal and placed in the top 16, before signing with Island Records Australia under the Universal Music Group. Her debut album is set to be released this year.
”I love doing local performances,” Emma said. She will be performing a selection of her own songs as well as a ”mellow and soulful” repertoire of classic jazz, rhythm and blues.
The event is also a fund raiser and recipients will be two local charities, BeConnected Community Services (formerly known as Cronulla Neighbour Aid), and Dandelion Support Network. There will be auctions and silent auctions during the evening.
Tickets are $150 per person.
