The Cronulla Chamber of Commerce together with the Cronulla Surfrider Foundation, are surveying local businesses and the local community to canvas plastic bag use and gain insight towards finding a solution the effects plastic has on our environment.
The effect plastic bags have on our planet and ecosystems is devastating. Without underestimating their use and convenience, action must be taken to reduce their environmental impact. While reusing plastic bags is the first step, additional measures must be taken to ensure that our planet is suitable for generations to come. Reducing the damaging contribution plastic bags have on our waterways, landfill and ecosystems is up to us.
